These accessory door handle covers may cause the doors to unlatch in a side impact collision. The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while coming to a stop, there was an abnormal screeching sound while depressing the brake pedal. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V236000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 40,000.

ENGINE

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact received notification of an undisclosed recall. The contact stated that upon starting the vehicle on several occasions, the engine made an abnormal rattling sound. The vehicle was taken a dealer, where it was diagnosed that all four Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) units needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred two years later. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed that all four VCT units needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 69,508.

AIR BAGS

The drivers airbag cover is cracked. This has happened to everyone I have talked to with the same vehicle. Also is a topic on many f150 public forums. I think this should be addressed by Ford.

ENGINE

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the vehicle made an abnormally loud ticking sound. There was no warning light illuminated. The local dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the failure was related to the cam phasers, which the contact related to Ford Customer Satisfaction Program Number: 21N03. The dealer provided an estimate for the repair; however, the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.

SUSPENSION,UNKNOWN OR OTHER

I was driving on the PA turnpike and upon hitting a pothole or bump the mount on the frame that the lower control arm bolts onto broke off. I was going under the speed limit with two small children in the car and a piece of my frame broke off after a slight bump. Every mechanic and person I speak to at ford is saying it shouldn't have happened and they can't believe it. There was no warning and I drove onto the turnpike got almost all the way home before it randomly broke. I spoke with Ford and they are unwilling to help after running my VIN. They say unless I put a complaint in and you open a recall that they will not help me. This is a 2017 truck with minimal rust it should not be breaking off a simple bump on the highway. I had a 9 year old and a 10 month old in the car and the front left of my suspension broke away from the vehicle after routine driving. Something needs to be done about the situation ford should be more concerned they have a frame break on such a new vehicle. Thank you for your time.

Timing system failed at 73,000 miles causing engine stall loosing power brakes and control.

POWER TRAIN

On July 18, 2025, I was fueling my vehicle at COSTCO. I put my vehicle in park, exited and left the door open while I waited for my credit card to clear so I could start fueling my vehicle. I was out of the vehicle for about a minute when the vehicle started to move backwards. I was standing between the open door and the drivers seat and was startled when it began to move. I was hopping on one foot trying to get back into the vehicle. Ultimately, the open door hit a column at the station. There was damage done to my door. There was no warning that made me aware that the vehicle wasn't still in park and there was an impending issue.

ENGINE

With low miles on my vehicle I’m experiencing cam phasers start becoming very loud and rattling coming from my engine compartment due to the cam phasers as I research I found that it will eventually shred up the inside of the engine and destroy it, I wouldn’t want to be going down the highway and my engine lock up do to this issue and many other people’s issues of the same exact thing this is a major safety issue that needs to be fixed for me and the multiple multiple other people that have complained also

POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The contact's husband owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while her husband was stopped at a red light, the vehicle shut off with an "Alarm" alert message on the instrument panel. The contact's husband sought assistance and had the vehicle jumpstarted, and the vehicle restarted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where an oil change was performed, and the battery was tested, and the contact was informed that the battery was in good condition. Upon leaving the mechanic, the vehicle shut off again but another attempt to jumpstart the vehicle failed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer. The vehicle remained with the dealer for four days; however, the dealer could not duplicate the failure. The failure persisted upon return of the vehicle and the vehicle was towed to LaFontaine Ford Grand Rapids (3385 Alpine Ave NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49544); where it remained unrepaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 74,800.
