FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

My 6.7 CP4 pump failed and damaged the entire fueling system

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 25 MPH, the vehicle started to shake, and the steering wheel seized, with the DEF warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over, and the vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that there was coolant leaking from the EGR cooler, causing the EGR cooler to fail. The contact was informed that the EGR cooler needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle was unsafe to drive due to the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 114,081.

BACK OVER PREVENTION

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-250. The contact stated that the rearview camera was intermittently inoperable or displayed an inverted image while reversing. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V270000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the model year was not included. The dealer and the manufacturer were not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

FORD HAS A RECALL FOR 2015 AND UP 25S89 REAR-VIEW CAMERA INSPECTION, MY CAMERA HAS EXACT SAME ISSUE IN FACT THESE PARTS INVOLVED IN RECALL ARE THE SAME!!! HOW IS IT THAT FORD STARTS RECALL WITH 2015?? AND DOESNT GO BACK TO 2013??? MAKES NO SINCE WHATSOEVER!! I'VE WORKED FOR FORD FOR 35 YEARS AS A TECH AND IM A 26 YEAR SENIOR MASTER TECHNICIAN!!!! CAN'T EXPLAIN STUPID!!!

STEERING,SUSPENSION

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH and attempting to change lanes, the contact felt a small bump. Shortly afterwards, the vehicle started to wobble violently, almost causing the contact to lose control of the vehicle due to the increased steering effort. The contact was able to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway to inspect the vehicle, but found no cause for the issue. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 116,668.

BACK OVER PREVENTION

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-250. The contact stated that while reversing, the rearview camera displayed a mirrored image, compromising the back over prevention system. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V442000 (Back Over Prevention), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 80,000.

Rear view camera went blank and displayed "request service" also when it did work, display was blurred.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

I kept smelling a burnt plastic smell. Eventually my driver side rear door did not lock. Upon inspection of the wiring the wire harness from the door to the truck showed the wires on the truck side had burned/melted the sheathing off the wires and leaving them exposed and touching.

TIRES

LT265/70R17, I received a recall notice from Amazon where I purchased a set of 4 tires. I only use these tires for winter driving and the notice states I should remove them immediately. They do not say for me to purchase new ones at the same time or if I will be reimbursed for any (all) cost. I still have around 70% of wear on them and am in the mid-winter season of McCall ID.
