Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Accord and HR-V vehicles. The front seat belt pretensioners may be missing the rivet that secures the quick connector and wire plate. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard numbers 208, "Occupant Crash Protection," 209, "Seat Belt Assembles," and 210, "Seat Belt Assembly Anchorages."

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2023-2024 Honda Accord, Accord Hybrid, Civic Sedan, Civic Hatchback, Pilot, and 2024 HR-V, Acura Integra and Acura Integra Type S vehicles. The driver's seat cushion frame may not have been tightened properly, which can result in an unsecured seat. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 207, "Seating Systems."

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE,LANE DEPARTURE

While driving home from work in my 2024 Honda Accord EX 1.5T, multiple warning lights suddenly came on on the dashboard. Shortly afterward, I began smelling a strong gasoline/fuel odor inside the passenger compartment. I stopped the vehicle and got out. I could also smell gasoline outside the vehicle. I opened the hood and the gasoline odor was still noticeable from the engine compartment. Because I was concerned about the safety of the vehicle, I went to the nearest O’Reilly Auto Parts and had the vehicle scanned. The diagnostic scan showed P0172 (Fuel System Too Rich, Bank 1), P0300 (Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire), P0301 (Cylinder 1 Misfire), P0302 (Cylinder 2 Misfire), and P0303 (Cylinder 3 Misfire). The vehicle had approximately 82,063 miles at the time. The gasoline odor inside and outside the vehicle is especially concerning because of the potential risk of a fuel leak and fire. I checked my VIN for recalls and no open recall is currently listed for my vehicle. I am reporting this incident because I believe the fuel odor, rich fuel condition, multiple misfires, and dashboard warning lights may represent a safety-related fuel-system problem that should be investigated.

STEERING

Clicking and light ticking noise from the electric power steering (EPS) rack when turning the steering wheel, with the vehicle stationary or at low speed. No loss of steering control and no crash or injury. Repair history on this VIN for the same concern: the steering rack and pinion was replaced twice under the first owner (04/08/2024 at 5,566 miles and 05/21/2024 at 8,730 miles). The noise returned. I purchased the vehicle in November 2025. I have taken it in twice more. On Feb 2026, a Honda Field Technical Specialist verified the clicking noise from the EPS rack, found the EPS motor out of adjustment, and performed an adjustment. The noise returned within 2 months and is present now at 33,800 miles. Honda Tech Line Summary Article ATS30025 (March 20, 2026) covers this symptom on 2023 and later Accord, attributes it to insufficient clearance between the steering gearbox motor housing and the steering rack, describes the available procedure as a temporary solution that may not resolve the issue, and states that a permanent countermeasure is still being developed. American Honda has told me no permanent repair exists and would make no commitment beyond a possible future recall. The Accord was not included in recall 24V-744, which covered the steering gearbox on other Honda models. I am reporting this so the agency has data on the same component in the Accord.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER

On XXX i got an error on my vehicle's infotainment system saying "OTA update error code TT04. Update Unavailable, see your dealer". I went to my dealer at AutoNation Honda O'Hare Service Center, address [XXX]. The vehicle's software was updated and the system reset was performed on XXX. The error code didnt go away. VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL,SERVICE BRAKES,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

On XXX, about 8:30 a.m., in clear, sunny weather, I was turning my 2024 Honda Accord Sport Hybrid into a marked parking space. My foot was off the accelerator; I applied light brake pressure while the vehicle moved under 5 mph. Without warning, it suddenly and spontaneously accelerated at high speed. Within seconds it drove over a concrete parking stop, traveled through dense landscaping, and collided into a palm tree that prevented it moving forward. I immediately powered it off. The airbag did not deploy; no warning message preceded the acceleration. Before repair, Germain Honda scanned the vehicle; May 28 invoice the Shop Foreman and a Honda District Parts & Service Manager inspected it. The report’s Page 1 checklist all items marked green "Satisfactory" and no damage noted in vehicle diagrams. This is not reconciled with the packet's Lighting "NG" and B1036 results or estimates documenting a shattered right headlamp. The invoice attributes many codes to headlight/bumper impact but identifies neither the codes nor the basis. Native HDS data was not provided. Pre-repair records from Germain Honda (May 28), Caliber/ProTech (XXX), and Crash Champions (XXX) record DTCs/faults involving propulsion/powertrain, braking, network, steering, driver assistance, restraint, and body controls. They do not establish when findings arose or whether any caused or contributed to the event. After repair, on XXX, Honda of [XXX] reported zero DTCs. The precise cause remains unknown. I believe Speed Control, Brakes, and Fuel/Propulsion System most likely caused or contributed to the sudden spontaneous acceleration, complete loss of control, crash, and vehicle damage. If this same event occurred at a stop sign or stoplight, significant injuries and potential fatalities would have occurred to myself, or any pedestrians, animals, and vehicles in its path. STEERING,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE

Subject of Complaint: Sudden, simultaneous failure of critical safety and driver assist systems originating from an electronic sensor/control module failure inside the electronic power steering (EPS) gearbox. Description of Safety Hazard and Dashboard Indicators: While operating the vehicle, the Driver Information Interface (DII) suddenly illuminated with multiple critical safety faults simultaneously. The primary indicator was the amber Electric Power Steering (EPS) System Problem warning light (steering wheel icon with an exclamation point). Due to the electronic architecture of the vehicle, the loss of reliable data from the steering gearbox caused a cascading failure across the Honda Sensing safety suite. The dashboard displayed a sequence of distinct system errors, explicitly disabling: Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS) Problem Road Departure Mitigation System Problem Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) Problem Safety Risk to Occupants: The unexpected failure of the EPS system immediately compromised the vehicle's handling characteristics, significantly increasing the steering effort required to control the vehicle. Furthermore, the simultaneous and total disabling of the Lane Keeping Assist, Road Departure Mitigation, and Adaptive Cruise Control systems unexpectedly stripped away active crash-avoidance features. This sudden degradation of vehicle control and driver-assist capabilities creates an immediate, severe collision hazard on public roadways.

POWER TRAIN,UNKNOWN OR OTHER

Car lost power while driving and came to a slow stop, was unable to accelerate. This was dangerous and I was on a relatively busy street will a small shoulder. Car made no noises or gave any warnings prior to this issue. Car engine was eventually able to powered back on, engine light now shows, along with power system light

STEERING

The contact owns a 2024 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35 MPH, the electronic power steering seized, and the vehicle became difficult to maneuver. The contact depressed the brake pedal and stopped the vehicle. The vehicle failed to return to normal operation. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the electronic power steering module had malfunctioned and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 79,000.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER

Apparently a very well known issue, I've had my car for 17 months and the software error see dealer had been on every time I start my car for the past 14 of them. And sometimes when I'm driving. Took it to the dealer, as the screen prompts, they said they reset it, turned it on, and there it was. Don't think they even did anything, except maybe waste my hour and a half and then try to sell me services. I know there is a known issue with the software on this model shutting down the vehicle whilst driving, I sure hope that isn't the case with mine. I'll try to take it back to the dealership, but like I said, they either didn't know, couldn't fix it, or just wanted me to get new brakes the first time I was there, and I'd really rather make sure that it gets done correctly if I bring it back.
