The rearview camera image may not display when the engine is started with a key, due to a design error in the audio display power circuit. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Honda (American Honda Motor Co.) is recalling certain 2018-2021, 2023 Acura TLX, 2019-2024 RDX, 2017-2020, 2022-2026 MDX, 2017-2021, 2023, 2025 Honda Ridgeline, 2017-2022 Pilot, 2019-2021 Passport, 2018-2026 Odyssey, 2019-2022 Insight, 2019-2021 HR-V, 2018-2020 Fit, 2020-2022 CR-V Hybrid, 2017-2022 CR-V, 2017-2018, 2021 Civic Type R, 2017-2021 Civic hatchback, 2016-2020 Civic coupe, 2016-2022 Civic, 2017-2022 Accord Hybrid, and 2016-2022 Accord vehicles. The front passenger seat weight sensor may crack and short circuit, which can cause the air bags to deploy unintentionally during a crash.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Bad solder connection on instrument cluster circuit board. Unable to see mileage, gas gauge, airbag, check engine, oil, trip meter....etc. intermittently.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The digital multi-information display located within the instrument cluster is failing, causing the characters to scramble, pixelate, and become completely unreadable. This hardware malfunction is intermittent but progressively worsening, rendering critical vehicle operating data entirely inaccessible. Specifically, I am unable to view the available fuel level, odometer, remaining oil life, or trip mileage while driving.Safety Risk:The inability to monitor the vehicle’s remaining fuel level creates a severe and unpredictable safety hazard, as the vehicle could unexpectedly stall or lose power in high-speed traffic or hazardous road conditions without warning. Additionally, the lack of a visible odometer and oil life indicator prevents proper tracking of essential safety inspections and routine maintenance intervals

ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Purchased great condition used 2019 Fit EX on XXX from local non-Honda dealership. Nearly 10 months later, on XXX the following errors appeared on the dash: tire pressure monitor system, emissions, hill start assist, lane deviation warning, power steering, and vehicle stability assist errors on the screen, and the check engine, tire pressure monitoring system, vehicle stability assist system, and electric power steering lights were also on. I took it to a local Honda service shop (Performance Kings Honda at [XXX]), and it was diagnosed as needing fuel injectors replaced (running too rich). I approved the repair for a total cost of $1,629.32, including the diagnostic fee, parts, labor, and taxes, on XXX. This was an identical issue to a used 2018 Honda Fit EX that I had purchased on XXX which had the same symptoms and was diagnosed as the same problem (fuel injectors) in XXX, and for which I submitted a separate NHTSA complaint. This is an issue for the NHTSA because it is a known issue on this make and model of car by owners and Honda. See the following: Honda Service Bulletins 21-007, 22-002, 23-042. Additionally, it's an issue I have had to deal with twice, on two separate vehicles, both of the same make and model, meaning it is likely an extremely prevalent issue for owners. Fuel injectors are an expensive repair, and they're known to be faulty on these vehicles by the manufacturer. Without correction, other major systems in the vehicle will fail, with issues such as engine misfire, overheating, catalytic converter failure, and catastrophic damage to the engine. Honda already knows this is an issue on the 2016 and 2017 models. The warranty extension they already issued for these years must be expanded or replicated to cover this issue, which has persisted in the 2018-2020 models. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,UNKNOWN OR OTHER

Screen with odometer, gas gauge, mpg, etc has been failing. Makes it difficult to get service and warranty coverage on repairs, tires, etc due to not knowing mileage at time of service. Also makes it difficult to know how much fuel is in the vehicle, with risk of running out of gas causing operation and safety issues. Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Has been confirmed by dealer and independent service centers. Has been inspected (at my cost) by dealer to determine the cause of the fault. No warning lamps or messages (issue is that these systems are not reliably working) prior to issue. Has worked intermittently, with issues for over 2 years.

ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Multiple warning lights lit up after starting car and driving for a short distance (less than 5 feet). Honda mechanic diagnosed it as a misfire in cylinder likely due to carbon buildup or other unknown reason. Similar incidents have happened with other 2019 Honda Fit and an extension of warranty was issued for some vehicles but not all (SB 23-042). Unfortunately, mine was apparently not covered despite the same exact issue as other reported incidents.

ENGINE

The contact owns a 2019 Honda Fit. The contact stated that while driving at 40 MPH, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer for a diagnostic test. The dealer retrieved DTC: P0304 (ECM Detected Repeated Misfire in Cylinder #4). The dealer linked the failure to Technical Service Bulletin: 21-007; however, the vehicle was not covered under warranty or the bulletin. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and confirmed the information from the dealer, and the contact was provided a case number. The vehicle was repaired. The failure mileage was 55,666.

Fuel gauge malfunctions when the vehicle is cold .... Cannot see how much fuel is in the car or any other information on the gauge

Dial containing into, fuel quantity, MPG, trip and ODO intermittently will show completely blank (usually in colder weather) and eventually will show. Sometimes takes 2-25 minutes. Honda says the fix is a new dash unit but cause is faulty/bad solders on back of board.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The fuel gauge and odometer digital display goes blank, when it comes back on the numbers are not clear. It does not happen every time I start the car but is something that concerns me. It was first observed January 24, 2026. The safety issue would be not knowing how much gas I have. The problem has not been confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. The component has not been inspected by the manufacturer. There were no no warning lights or messages prior to the malfunctioning.
