I own a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer with approximately 33,000 miles. The vehicle has unexpectedly shifted/commanded PARK while moving on two separate occasions. The first incident occurred while I was driving approximately 5 mph in a parking lot. The vehicle unexpectedly went into PARK while it was moving. The second, more serious incident occurred while I was accelerating from a complete stop to make a left turn onto a main road. The vehicle unexpectedly shifted/commanded PARK while I was accelerating into traffic. I did not select PARK and could have been tboned. I reported both incidents to my Jeep dealership. The vehicle has been inspected, but the dealership has been unable to duplicate the issue and states there are no DTCs or other indications of a failure. Because they cannot reproduce the concern, they have declined to escalate it to a Chrysler/Stellantis representative. They are returning the vehicle to me despite the issue occurring twice. I am concerned this is an intermittent electronic, transmission-control, shifter, sensor, software, or communication-related safety defect that may not leave a diagnostic code after the event. An unexpected shift into PARK while moving could cause sudden loss of propulsion or control and presents a serious safety risk, particularly when occurring while accelerating into traffic. I am requesting that NHTSA document this complaint and investigate whether there are similar incidents involving 2023 Jeep Wagoneers unexpectedly shifting into PARK while moving.

  • Steering, electrical system, lane departureFiled Oct 8, 2026

About a week ago, I received a warning that my lane management assist required servicing. As of Tuesday (10/06), as I slowed to a. Stop sign, my car started beeping, put itself in park and turned off. It flashed a message that stated a restart was required. Then today, I was getting the same lane management warning and as I was stopped, my car did the same thing, threw me into park, put a bunch of different warning messages then said power steering requires service. I proceeded to drive home since I was about ten minutes away, shut my vehicle off for a few minutes and tried to restart it, the car would not restart. The vehicle had to then be towed to dealer for repair. Since purchasing the vehicle in 01/2024 I have had ongoing electrical issues and had to turn the vehicle in for service. But they have never found an underlying issue, they have just replaced batteries and cleared codes

  • Power train, electrical system, engineFiled Oct 2, 2026

I recently had an oil change at the dealership I purchased the Wagoneer from. Three days after the oil change was completed, I was sitting at a stop light when the vehicle completely shut down, and the power steering went out. I started the vehicle back up and a power steering service notice popped up. That same day, the large central display screen kept flashing on and off, when it finally shut completely off. Six days later, I was driving home from work when I noticed the engine kept running up into the 6-7000 RPM's if I tried to drive over 40mph. I drove under 40mph the rest of the way home (about 10 minutes) and started noticing how loud the engine sounded and the temperature gauge was increasing. I was about 1 minute from home when my daughter and I could feel the heat coming from the engine inside the cab of the vehicle. It was so hot, I was concerned the vehicle was going to catch on fire. I parked it away from my home and called the dealership. They sent a tow truck and inspected it the next day. They stated the engine thermostat went out, and the auxiliary battery failed. There were never any warning lamps or messages displayed while this was happening. If I would not have been paying attention to the gauges and would have been further away from home, this vehicle could have overheated completely and potentially caught on fire putting my kids, myself, and others on the highway in danger. There was a Campaign Reference: 26B issued by Stellantis in April 2025 stating this exact issue and noting the repair to be performed, however, they only included specific Wagoneer's equipped with a 3.0L GMET6 engine. My engine is a 3.0L I6 Hurricane and was not included in the campaign, even though it is the exact same issue and this could have all been avoided.

  • Visibility/wiperFiled Sep 26, 2026

The driver’s side sun visor at the main attach point broke when trying to move it from the stowed position. Prior to this, no looseness or other abnormal condition was known to exist. The plastic elbow which serves as the pivot point separated from the base with the electrical wires remaining attached. This results in the driver’s view directly in front of the vehicle being 80-90% restricted as the visor falls directly in front of the driver’s face. The visor will not stow. One hand must be used to hold the visor up against the headliner. This presents risks to the driver via restricted visibility, distraction and physical limitations. The risk extends as a threat to the safety of passengers and collisions with other motorists, pedestrians and/or property. The dealer will be notified for inspection and repair. Photos and video are available. One year earlier the same thing happened on the passenger’s side of the same vehicle. It was replaced by the dealer.

Its has been in the shop over the course of that time more than four months and is in the shop current day 14sept2026. We have spend roughly $10,000 to date and continue to be financially and emotionally ravaged. Sealants has been no help. The purchasing dealership also refuses to make it right.

  • StructureFiled Sep 10, 2026

On Monday, August 24th around 7:30am my wife was driving South in our Jeep and had just entered onto the freeway. There was heavy traffic and the early morning sunlight was impairing her vision. To remedy the sunlight issue, she pulled the visor from the plastic dock/restraint and while folding the visor down she proceeded to rotate the visor to a position to shield the light. During the folding and rotating motion, the attachment supporting the metal arm that supported the visor broken inside the roof. When my wife let go of the visor, the visor dropped down about 2 inches and "drooped" at a significant angle, swinging freely. It did not completely pull out and separate from the ceiling but was somehow still prevented from being completely removed from its housing. My wife had to grab the broken visor and restrict it from moving/swinging freely so she could see while operating the vehicle in heavy traffic and sunlight issues. I had to reach over from the passenger side of the vehicle to take the visor from her as to help her continue to drive safely. I managed to push the visor arm back into the ceiling then dock the visor. The visor then stayed in position for the rest of the trip but now she had to drive with the sunlight issue for a little while that still posed, in my opinion a safety issue. This same issue happened in 11/2024 but it was on the passenger side. I believe the support mechanism for the visor was built with either defective or substandard/cheap materials that do not meet the standard for the safe operation of the vehicle. I've come understand that my vehicle (or make/model) is not the only one affected by this. I believe this issue poses a safety risk to all vehicles with this part design or materials used in manufacturing/installation.

There were no warning signs. I was at a red light and my car completely shut off and red steering wheel with an exclamation mark showed on my screen. It would not immediately start as I tried to restart the engine. It took a min to restart. It automatically had thrown my emergency brake on. The a/c was also shut down. I started driving again and when I got to the next stop sign it did the same exact thing. I was a few streets over from my home. I only slowed down through the stop signs in order to get home so that my husband could assess it. When he walked up to my car it was making a strange sound, which eventually stopped. I shut my engine off and restarted it but the alert was still there. I had just come off the highway when this happened doing a speed of 65 then slowing to exit. This scared me. I am calling the dealership in the morning in order to have them pick it up and assess the issue.

Vehicle began to randomly shut off at low speed while moving, while stopped and also in park. Has not yet happened at high speeds. All occasions are at speeds of less than 5 mph, no MIL. Took to the dealership, diag of faulted aux battery. Battery replaced. Still very randomly will die in gear, at low to no speed, and also in park on occasion. Dealership update software of the BCM, PCM, and DCM. Returned to us with the same ongoing dying issue, returned to dealership, they did a wheel alignment, obviously didn't fix the dying issue. This vehicle carries my family, this will cause an accident as other traffic avoiding the vehicle has been the only factor in avoiding accident. No codes present. Vehicle is being refused to drive due to the uncertainty of when and where the vehicle will die randomly. This has happened numerous times over the last month, we will not accept the return of this vehicle until this problem is solved. This has so far ONLY HAPPENED AT LOW SPEED. Dealership has put many highway miles on it without replicating issue. It can be easily replicated by merely driving it from one parking spot to another or around a parking lot stopping and starting and traveling at speeds 5mph or less. This will happen at low to no throttle input. Vehicle will immediately start and run after being placed into park and hitting the start button, this is not the auto -start-stop feature working correctly. Dealership states this has only happened while pulling into a working bay at the dealership, unable to replicate results on the highway. It is currently the low speed dying that is the issue, this has been brought to the attention of the service dept on numerous occasions.

    • Electrical system, exterior lighting, engineFiled Sep 2, 2026

I purchased my 2023 Jeep Wagoneer new in March 2023. The vehicle has experienced multiple electrical/electronic safety-related failures. Beginning around Oct. 2024, the digital instrument cluster intermittently failed to load after startup, leaving me without critical information including vehicle speed and fuel level. I photographed this occurring numerous times and repeatedly reported it to the dealer. The cluster was eventually replaced in April 2026. The vehicle has also unexpectedly shut off more than once while slowing or coming to a stop at a stop sign or traffic light. In July 2026, the entire right-front exterior lighting system failed. The right headlight, daytime/running light, front turn signal and cornering light are all inoperative while the left side operates normally. The dealer replaced the complete right headlamp assembly in Aug. 2026, but this did not correct the problem. All right-front lighting remains inoperative. The odometer is also continuously flashing. The dealer has not determined the cause and says further diagnosis and Stellantis STAR technical assistance are required. As of Sept. 2026, the lighting failure has persisted for more than a month despite a repair attempt. I am concerned about the safety risks from loss of required exterior lighting/turn-signal function, prior loss of instrument-cluster information, and unexpected vehicle shutoffs. I do not know whether these conditions share the same underlying cause.

The vehicle has not started, on 2 separate occasions. It will not start, let you open the door and, the APP won't work. It is just dead. After a period of time, it will start and work fine. Then it won't start again. I have read there are several instances on your web site of this type of failure. The dealer can't find anything "wrong".

On multiple occasions, when starting the vehicle, the screen on the dashboard remains with the power button and instructions to depress the brake and push button to start. The car starts, but no gauges appear on the dashboard. Turning the car off and back on does not resolve the issue. The car is on and running and will let me shift into gear and drive the car, as demonstrated in multiple videos. Driving the car while a message on how to start the car is concerning as I cannot see/view the speedometer or any other gauges. Additionally, the indicator that the driver’s door is open is on when the door is shut. Turning the vehicle off, exiting and locking does not resolve the issue and the screen remains illuminated with the same message. These issues have been reported to the dealer and each time I have been told they cannot reproduce the issue-most recently in May 2026 when the vehicle was inspected, even when showing them photos and videos.

Three times my car has suddenly stopped and went into park. It happened once pulling into the median of a roadway. The second time I was slowing in traffic to stop at an upcoming traffic light and the most recent was backing out of a park spot. In addition to the sudden stops while in traffic it also has had hesitancy when starting from a stopped position. I have to restart the car while in traffic. Could seriously cause an accident to happen. Dealer found several CPM codes, completed an update and cleared the codes 2 days ago and now it happened again. Cabin filter, air filter were changed on 7.6.26 and the first time the car did this was a few days after that. So this has been happening for about 1 month.

Vehicle: 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Series II 4WD VIN: [XXX] I am reporting a significant vibration/shaking condition in my 2023 Jeep Wagoneer. At approximately 75 MPH, the vehicle develops a noticeable shudder/shake that can be felt while driving at highway speeds. The condition is repeatable and raises concerns about the stability and safety of the vehicle during normal interstate/highway driving. I am concerned because other Wagoneer owners have reported similar highway-speed vibration conditions. I would like the cause of this vibration properly identified rather than having it attributed to normal vehicle characteristics. The vehicle should be evaluated for possible tire/wheel road-force variation or runout, suspension components, propeller shaft/driveshaft, CV joints, transfer case/output components, or other driveline components that could produce a speed-related vibration. This vehicle also has a history of having been reacquired by the manufacturer pursuant to applicable state consumer warranty laws or to promote customer satisfaction, according to the CARFAX report I obtained after purchasing the vehicle. I am requesting that NHTSA document this complaint and evaluate it along with other complaints involving highway-speed vibration/shaking in Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer vehicles. The vibration occurs at approximately 75 MPH and is repeatable during highway operation. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The contact owns a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that the vehicle intermittently went into park(P) and turned off while merging into traffic with the message "Stop/Start Required" displayed. The vehicle also shut off unexpectedly while idling in park(P). The contact was forced to restart the vehicle to resume normal operation. The vehicle was initially taken to a dealer, and the failure was attributed to the gasoline in the fuel tank; however, the failure returned the following day. The same dealer later diagnosed the vehicle with a defective auxiliary battery inside the alternator. The dealer refused to honor the warranty, prompting the contact to seek repairs from an independent mechanic. The part to repair the vehicle was currently on a national backorder, and there was no estimated date for the parts to become available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but only directed the contact to a parts website; however, the necessary part could not be located. The vehicle remained unrepaired with the independent mechanic. The failure mileage was approximately 39,000.

This has happened 50+ times, including while in slower traffic on the Interstate. It is very dangerous because I am stopped suddenly in traffic and have to restart the car and put it back in gear in order to move. Car has also started and run, but the control panel remains in the "push button to start" mode while driving, so none of the control panel is available. Vehicle: 2023 Jeep Wagoneer Mileage at time of incident: 43,400 miles Component: Engine Cooling System / Thermostat Incident Description: This vehicle has experienced two separate thermostat failures since purchase. The first failure occurred the day after I purchased the vehicle, in April 2024, at only 104 miles. This time the vehicle overheated /stall pattern even after confirming coolant was at a sufficient level. The second failure occurred on Monday, June 22, 2026, at 43,400 miles. While driving with my wife, son, and son's friend as passengers, the temperature warning indicator activated, signaling an engine overheating condition. Shortly after, the engine lost power and stalled completely while the vehicle was in the middle of a busy intersection. With the engine off, I had no power assist for steering or braking, which made it extremely difficult to maneuver the vehicle out of the path of oncoming traffic. My family and I were nearly struck by other vehicles while attempting to get the disabled Wagoneer clear of the intersection. The recurrence of this failure at relatively low mileage (43,400 miles on a 2023 model) indicates a potential design or manufacturing defect in the cooling system, not an isolated incident. The second failure resulted in a complete loss of engine power in active traffic, creating an immediate safety hazard to my passengers and to other drivers on the road. Repair history: Failure #1: April 2024, 104 miles Failure #2: June 22, 2026, 43,400 miles Cost of most recent repair: Approximately $2,000

The vehicle will severely vibrate when traveling 60mph or higher. Faster speeds increase the vibration intensity. I used a vibration meter on the steering wheel and drove on a smooth highway. Multiple tests/results were all similar, the vibration meter would register up to 10.3 and avg in the mid 4s and 5s. A 5.8 equates to a Level VI Strong Earthquake on the Mercalli Intensity Scale. The vibration is so violent the steering wheel shakes uncontrollably causing a strong fear of losing control. We live in rural Nevada with open desert and spotty cell service for most of the drive from Pahrump NV to Las Vegas. We were afraid to drive the vehicle due to the handling issues, that something happening in the middle of nowhere. Jeep customer support denied, obstructed and overall refused to help. Was assigned to several agents and supervisors and after filing the initial report, message requests were rarely returned. I was ultimately told by Customer Care, “it was my problem not Jeeps”. The first dealership I went to refused to look at the car unless I paid them for unnecessary work I then went back to Jeep Only in Las Vegas (where I purchased vehicle) and they quickly acknowledged the severe vibration issue was a common problem and they have serviced this problem on many other Wagoneer’s in the past. I worked with Evan the Service Advisor and Tigh Pesicka the Service Manager and they assured me the problem was with Jeep’s paring of the Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza tire and the Wagoneer. The Bridgestone was a passenger tire and the Wagoneer due to its weight needed light truck rated tires. Evan at Jeep Only recommended the Continental Terrain Contact A/T tires, I purchased them and it lessened the severity of the vibration. The dealership failed to get Jeep to cover the new tire, so they said I will have to pay for them and sue Jeep for reimbursement. A quick search you will find many examples of Wagoneer Owners with the same issue.

2023 L series II Wagoneer 84,444 miles full bench 2nd and 3rd row - My family was travelling in the car and the second row driver side seat unlatched and forcefully slammed my daughter into the back of the driver seat. No aggressive driving and no warning lights on the dash. The car dinged then slammed my daughter's face into the back of the driver seat. Caused swelling and a black eye on the left side. Also caused a spinal injury on the C2 and C3 joint that we are still getting information on the issue. I am submitting this in hopes that this does not happen to someone else's family like it did mine. My family of 4 and 3 kids that are family friends. The event took place on 6-11 and I am writing this report on 6-12. No inspection has been done on the car due to still being at the hospital consulting a specialist on the spinal issue.

    • EngineFiled May 29, 2026

I am reporting a catastrophic engine failure on a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer (VIN: [XXX] ) that occurred within 163 miles of consumer delivery, suggesting a latent manufacturing defect present at the time of sale. The vehicle was delivered February 13, 2026 at approximately 29,750 miles. Engine noise was noted the same evening. By March 10, 2026, the vehicle was grounded at Farris Motor Company [XXX] ) at 29,913 miles — 163 miles after delivery. The vehicle remains inoperable after 60+ days. Stellantis STAR Case #XXX documents the following confirmed failures: collapsed lifters, failed camshaft, damaged rockers, and scored cylinder walls. Technician notes in the official STAR Case record state the engine oil contained metal contamination so severe it "looked like paint." Borescope imaging confirmed scoring on cylinder walls. Stellantis has thus far refused to authorize a full engine replacement, instead directing the servicing dealer to replace only individually identified failed components — despite the fact that metal contamination of this severity compromises the entire lubrication circuit, including both turbochargers. The servicing dealer (Farris Motor Company) has independently advocated to Stellantis for full engine replacement and agrees the partial repair is insufficient. I am reporting this failure to NHTSA to document the defect pattern and request investigation into whether other 2023 Wagoneer vehicles with the 3.0L Hurricane engine may be experiencing similar latent valvetrain failures. On February 13, 2026, ALM [XXX] [XXX] ) sold me a 2023 Jeep Wagoneer (VIN: [XXX] ) with Federal Safety Recall 88C (NHTSA Campaign 25V-642 — rear quarter window trim detachment, road hazard risk) open and unrepaired at the time of sale. This recall was not disclosed to me during the sale process, which was conducted remotely. I discovered the open recall only after taking delivery of the vehicle. Owner notification letters for Recall 88C were mailed beginning February 19, 2026 — six days after my purchase. ALM CDJR had knowledge of this recall prior to sale and chose not to disclose it or complete the repair before delivery. The recall has since been completed by a different dealer (Farris Motor Company, Jefferson City, TN). However, ALM CDJR's sale of a vehicle with a known open federal safety recall without disclosure is a dealer compliance violation I am formally reporting to NHTSA. I have filed supporting complaints with the Georgia Attorney General's Consumer Protection Division and have documentation of this transaction on file. My 2023 Jeep Wagoneer experienced a catastrophic panoramic sunroof failure while parked and unattended. The vehicle had been driven normally earlier that day with no known impact or debris strike, and I have footage from before arriving showing the roof intact. The vehicle was parked in a school parking lot for approximately 2.5 hours, and when I returned, the panoramic roof glass had spontaneously shattered. No impact event was witnessed, and there was no known object strike to the vehicle. The dealership determined the damage was caused by outside influence; however, no specific impact point or evidence of an object strike has been identified to us. Because the glass shattered unexpectedly while the vehicle was stationary, we are concerned this may represent a spontaneous tempered-glass failure and a potential safety defect.

The contact owns a 2023 JEEP Wagoneer. The contact stated that while towing, the vehicle experienced a serious and recurring safety failure where the trailer lights would function for approximately five minutes before a portion of them would blackout. This failure renders towing unsafe and illegal, as it compromises visibility and traffic law compliance. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 26E006000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) however, the VIN was not included in the recall due to the vehicle not being within the 2024-2025 range listed on the recall notice. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on three separate occasions for the same failure. During the first visit, the dealer stated the issue was with the trailers; however, the contact paid for independent inspections that confirmed both trailers were in proper working order. During the second visit, the dealer performed a software update, but the failure persisted. During the third visit, the dealer diagnosed the issue as a known manufacturer software defect with no current resolution available. The vehicle was not repaired, due to no other options of repair besides a recall. The manufacturer has been notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 25,335.

I scheduled an appointment Genes Chrysler Jeep Dodge RAM service department in Fairbanks, AK on February 13, 2026 to perform all recalls on my vehicle. This appointment was made almost a month out to ensure I had the day off to be able to drop off my vehicle and have them keep it for the remainder of the day. The service department informed me before closing time around 1700 that my vehicle was ready for pick up. In the next few weeks, I was still receiving recall information in the mail. I called Genes again and spoke with a representative who checked the system for me and she assured me that recalls were completed but it takes time for the system to update. I took her word for it. My vehicle is currently in service at Genes now for other issues and I called Stellantis to open a case for the delays. Per their regulation, when a member calls, they let them know what recalls is still against their vehicle, they assured me that my recalls was still open. I wrote an email to Genes manager requesting to answer me via email as proof that recalls were performed on my vehicle, but he did not address my question to this day. I have attached the receipt of the workorder on Feb 13 that states recalls were performed on my vehicle. I am also attaching the email traffic from Genes regarding my follow up question. There are other correspondence in this email, but I have highlighted my email that I sent on May 4th and attached the PDF with the email.

It seems that when the outside temperature is very warm/hot, when turning the car on or when idling at a traffic light or driving at very low speeds, on occasion the car will abruptly and without warning, shift itself into Park and the emergency brake activates. I took the vehicle in for repair on 10/23/25 and was told there was a "thermostat internal failure" and that the "thermostat assembly" was replaced. I was just recently traveling in Florida ( reside in NY) and the exact same problems occurred with my vehicle which I can only assume was due to the warmer temperatures that my vehicle has not been exposed to since the last repair as I reside in New York. I feel it should be worth mentioning that when turning OFF the auto start/stop button, the problems occurred less frequently but STILL happened on occasion. I've also had 3 other times when the "check engine" light came on. I was told that the first 2 were related to software updates with the transmission. On the other occasion, a "valve body" was replaced. I'm unsure if any of these were related. I've also had to replace the auxiliary battery but I don't think that's related so I didn't upload that file. Although I'm taking the vehicle to be repaired today, I took it in on 04/14/26 because the check engine light came on while in Florida when the car shifted itself into Park and the Emergency Brake was activated. The check engine light almost never comes on when this happens which I was told makes it difficult to diagnose issues. I didn't know how long this info is stored so I took the vehicle in upon returning to NY and was given a Summary Report after they hooked up a scanner. I couldn't get an appointment until today

On 10/27/25, the thermostat on my wagoneer exploded. It was supposedly repaired on 10/30/25. I read in the wagoneers forum that the thermostat is a common issue, but it could be the result of engine problems. On 2/4/26, I took my vehicle in for a routine oil change. I didn't drive the vehicle for a few days. On 2/7/26, I was driving and received an Error Message stating Max Engine Oil Level Exceeded. Immediate Service required. I returned it to the dealer to fix that issue. On 2/15/26, I noticed that my engine sounded louder than normal and by 2/16/26, the check engine light was on. On 2/18/26, I received an error message saying the engine temperature was too hot. I took it back to the dealership where it is today. I believe the wagoneers have faulty engines that need to be recalled.

    • Power train, engineFiled Feb 15, 2026

Our 2023 Jeep Wagoneer overheats (indicates excessive oil temperature and low oil pressure) repeatedly (~20 times since we've owned the vehicle) under normal freeway driving causing a safety issue by creating the need to rapidly slow and exit the roadway to prevent vehicle engine failure. The issue occurs during sustained freeway driving around 60-65 mph. The car feels like it is not properly shifting to the next gear and the RPM lingers around 3000rpm - 3500rpm. After a few minutes at this sustained RPM the engine temperature gauge slowly climbs until the overheating warning light comes on and it typically followed by a low oil pressure warning. We have taken the vehicle to a Jeep dealer twice. They have tried to replicate the issue and have not been able to. We suspect that they are not driving in long enough (30-40min) to be able to replicate the issue. They also say that they are not able to pull up any error codes from the vehicle from an ODB scanner. They say they can't diagnose the issue with out an error code and seam to be unwilling to explore the issue further. Most recently we've purchased our own ODB scanner to try to gather any error codes because the Jeep dealer doesn't seam to want to investigate further without us gathering error codes for them. Today we drove the car for about 45min on moderately hilly terrain at around 60mph and produced three separate overheating / low oil pressure error incidents while the ODB scanner was plugged in. The ODB did not indicate an error code on any of the three incidents. We are frustrated because Jeep and their dealers have left us in a situation where we have a dysfunctional vehicle and seam to be unwilling to take reasonable measures to resolve the problem.

    • Electrical system, engine, fuel/propulsion systemFiled Feb 12, 2026

This complaint involves a 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L Series III, a full-size luxury SUV. The vehicle has experienced repeated electrical and powertrain failures culminating in complete loss of propulsion. On 01/22/2026, while traveling approximately 45–50 mph, the vehicle abruptly shut down without warning. The engine lost power, dashboard displays went black, and multiple warning lights illuminated simultaneously. I was forced to steer to the shoulder while a trailing vehicle had to swerve off the roadway to avoid a collision. This was a near-miss event and represents a serious safety hazard involving sudden loss of motive power at highway speed. Prior to that event, the vehicle had already stalled at a traffic light and had exhibited repeated check engine warnings, low-voltage faults, and module communication errors. The servicing dealer documented multiple diagnostic trouble codes affecting the Body Control Module (BCM), Ignition System Control Module (ISCM), and Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Manufacturer technical service bulletin software updates were applied in attempts to correct the issue. Despite these interventions, the electrical instability persisted. On 02/12/2026, only days after an auxiliary battery replacement intended to address voltage concerns, the vehicle would not start and required towing to the dealership at my expense. Additional fault codes are currently under review. The vehicle is also subject to an open recall with no remedy available, and the power running board motor has failed with replacement parts unavailable. This pattern of electrical failure, sudden shutdown in motion, and inability to reliably start presents an ongoing and unacceptable safety risk to occupants and surrounding motorists. The vehicle is available for inspection and has been repeatedly evaluated by an authorized dealer.

My air conditioning first went out in 2024 in 105 degree weather with a 3 month old baby, the dealer found the issue and fixed it. Then it went out again recently in the same type of weather and now since I am out of my warranty they are trying to charge me for the same issue, this is definitely a hazard to my health and the health of my children being that the weather can’t afford anyone with no AC. Plus they are refusing to see this as a manufacturer issue, when obviously it is. So I am complaining because this is definitely an electrical issue that could lead to other problems and the manufacturer needs to take responsibility and issue the recall because I am not the only consumer experiencing these issues. The faulty AC could lead to a fire or other serious issues that possibly cause injuries to me or my children

For the past five months, the vehicle has stalled nearly every other day, including while backing out of driveways or parking spaces and when slowing to stop. Each time, the engine suddenly shuts off without warning, the transmission automatically shifts into Park, and the emergency brake engages. An engine warning light appears with a “battery fault” message. The repeated engine shutdowns and automatic braking create a serious safety risk, particularly when backing into traffic or stopping at intersections. In several instances, the vehicle would not restart for several minutes, leaving it disabled in the roadway. The vehicle has been taken twice to the authorized Jeep dealership in Stonecrest, Georgia, but the service department was unable to reproduce or correct the issue. The problem persists, and the “battery fault” light continues to appear intermittently.
