ENGINE

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2019 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar and Discovery vehicles. The affected vehicles are equipped with V6 or V8 engines whose crankshaft pulley retaining bolt may fracture possibly resulting in engine failure.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING:LIGHTING CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC. (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Discovery, and Range Rover Velar vehicles. The Auto High Beam (AHB) system does not indicate through the instrument cluster when the high beams are illuminated automatically. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2019-2020 Discovery vehicles. A loose contact between the battery ground stud and the chassis may result in various electrical faults, possibly causing a loss of electrical power or the vehicle to shut down while driving.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2017-2020 Land Rover Discovery vehicles. The UniLatch Keyless Vehicle (KV) entry function may fail to properly latch the rear passenger doors, which can result in the doors opening while driving. In addition, the instrument cluster open-door warning light may fail to alert the driver of this condition.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The contact owns a 2019 Land Rover Discovery. The contact stated that the vehicle had been experiencing electrical failures. The contact stated that the vehicle had failed to start or unlock, requiring the owner to manually unlock the vehicle with the key. Tand and exterior lights independently flashed while the vehicle was parked in the middle of the night. The vehicle was taken to the dealer on several occasions, but the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the AC condenser was leaking on the tow hitch cable, shorting out the electrical system. The dealer performed an unknown repair; however, the failure persisted. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 69,000.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER

Vehicle was taken to dealership for turning off while driving. While at the dealership the truck developed a windshield leak. Land rover discovery has a known issue with the windshield leaking. Windshield was replaced in 2021; I was not the owner at that time. In December 2025 the dealer discovered the leak and did not repair it knowing that these vehicles are known for water leaking and causing electrical damage.

ENGINE

The contact owns a 2019 Land Rover Discovery. The contact stated that while driving the vehicle at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle suddenly lost motive power and an odd noise was heard. Although the vehicle was able to restart, it knocked and shook very hard, rendering it no longer drivable. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V040000 (ENGINE) however, the VIN was not included in the recall repair. The dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 53,000.

Engine is shaking and no power at all

POWER TRAIN,ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,ENGINE

The contact owns a 2019 Land Rover Discovery. The contact stated that when attempting to back out of a parking space, the shifter was moved to reverse; however, the shifter failed to release from reverse. The vehicle was shut off, then restarted to reset the transmission, and at which time the shifter was able to be moved. The next day, while driving at highway speeds of approximately 55 MPH, entering on an on-ramp, the vehicle began to lose power and suddenly decelerate, then the vehicle shifted to neutral. The contact coasted to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to a certified mechanic, who diagnosed that the engine needed to be replaced and there were failures with the gearbox and other computer systems. The vehicle was repaired. The next morning, the shifter failure and start failure occurred again. The next day, the instrument panel began to illuminate the messages, "Proceed With Caution" and "Gearbox Fault Detected." The Liquid Crystal Display (LCD) would black out, restart, and black out again. The failure would occur while idle, at which time they would have to place the vehicle in park, shut off, then restart it. The vehicle returned to their home and parked. The contact completed some research and found their experienced failure related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V248000 (Electrical System); however, their VIN was not included. The manufacturer was informed of the issue. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to file a complaint. The failure mileage was approximately 116,000.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The contact owns a 2019 Land Rover Discovery. The contact stated that while driving 65 MPH, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The gearbox failure warning light was illuminated. The vehicle decelerated, and the steering wheel seized. The contact stated there was an abnormal ticking sound coming from the vehicle. The failure had occurred while driving on a busy highway. The vehicle was driven to the shoulder of the road, where the engine seized. The vehicle was taken to a local Goodyear where it was diagnosed with battery failure. The contact was informed that the battery needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to Goodyear where it was diagnosed with a failed negative ground terminal sensor. The contact was informed that the negative ground terminal sensor needed to be replaced and reprogrammed. The vehicle was repaired. The contact was made aware of NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V694000 (Electrical System); however, the VIN was not associated with the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 65,489.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,AIR BAGS,VISIBILITY/WIPER

This is a report of a Failed Remedy for Safety Recall N321 (Recall #19V293). Records confirm that this vehicle had the recall repair performed on 12/09/2020. That repair has now failed. A certified technician at the dealership has confirmed via video that the windshield bond has detached, leading to significant water intrusion. This flooding has ruined safety-related electronic modules (cameras/audio) and caused significant mold growth in the interior, which is a biohazard health hazard. The manufacturer is admitting the failure but is refusing to provide a 100% covered remedy for this failed safety recall, offering only a 40% 'goodwill' contribution. The vehicle is currently dismantled and unsafe to drive. A failed windshield bond compromises the structural integrity of the vehicle in a rollover and prevents the proper deployment of the passenger airbag. Furthermore, the active electrical failures in the safety-related camera systems and the respiratory risk from mold growth make the vehicle unsafe for occupancy Technician Diagnosis Summary Technician Name: Skyler (Jaguar/Land Rover Certified) Date of Diagnosis: March 23, 2026.Dealership: Land Rover Parsippany, NJ Key Findings from Skyler's Video: Direct Admission of Failure: "So what we have going on is the windshield is leaking. The windshield is leaking so we’re going to have to get the windshield resealed for you." Extent of Water Damage: "Inspect the carpets and they are very wet all the way around on the vehicle... the vehicle does have like a mildewy smell." Safety/Electrical Failure: "Initially when I pulled the vehicle in, the surround sound cameras were not working... it's possible that one of the modules had water in I opened a case with Land Rover Corporate (Case #[XXX]), which they have since closed after refusing to provide a 100% covered remedy for this safety failure. They offered only a partial 40% 'goodwill' contribution and refused further assistance despite the confirmed safety hazard. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The car would not respond, yet the battery was charged. Our local auto shop identified the issue as an electrical malfunction in which the entire driver's side was affected, meaning the lights nor car would turn on or activate in any way.

This vehicle is mostly garaged when not on the road and has approximately 33,800 miles on it. On 12/19/2025 I parked the car in a lot while I went to an appointment in Allendale, NJ. It rained fairly heavily. About an hour later I returned to my vehicle and found water dripping down the inside of the left side of the front windshield and mirror over and onto the steering wheel and housing, and onto the dashboard. I immediately wiped the water up and drove to my Land Rover dealer in Paramus, NJ where the car had been purchased new in 2019. An appointment was made for 2 weeks later. I was told there were other incidents of windshield leaks in the model (and possibly other LR Products) and they said they couldn't do temporary fixes and either windshield had to be replaced or possible fix w/o replacement. I recently found on line various incidents reported of windshield leaks some of which damaged electrical connections that caused driving and safety hazards. Also found Lemon Law case advertisement (2024?) about this type of damage. Significantly, found online 3/23/2020 LR “Service Action N221 Windshield Water” re 2018 Discovery & 2015-2018 Evoque, See attached. My local auto body shop put on temporary tape to mitigate leak until fixed. Have been driving for many years & owned numerous cars over that time. I never saw or heard of such a leak. For this to happen out of the blue in my view in a well maintained car that looks brand new is a manufacturing defect that the manufacturer should be responsible for beyond any warranty without the need for litigation, as well as a safety and driving hazard that should not occur.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,AIR BAGS,VISIBILITY/WIPER

The windshield seal failed at the top of the windshield, allowing significant water intrusion into the vehicle cabin. The windshield had previously been replaced under a manufacturer recall/service action, but that repair failed. Water intrusion caused failure of the Occupant Restraint Control Module (RCM), impairing airbag system functionality. Water also damaged the audio amplifier and other electronic components. Interior flooring and insulation are saturated and require removal and remediation. The defect was confirmed by an authorized Land Rover dealer, who identified the source of the leak as a defective windshield seal. Warning messages related to vehicle systems appeared after the water intrusion was discovered. The vehicle is no longer safe to operate due to compromised safety systems. This is the second Land Rover Discovery I have owned that has experienced catastrophic windshield sealing failure resulting in extensive water damage. The manufacturer declined responsibility and advised filing an insurance claim.
