The contact owns a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The contact stated that while driving 2 MPH in the driveway, the rear latch opened unexpectedly. The trunk ajar message was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V514000 (Steering) and 19V390000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages). The contact was informed that the parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.

STEERING

The contact owns a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the suspension fault warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a failed front knuckle and suspension failure. The dealer confirmed that the failure was consistent with an unrepaired recall repair. The contact was informed that parts were unavailable. The dealer was contacted several times, but the contact was repeatedly informed that parts were not yet available. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V514000 (Steering); however, the part was not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

SUSPENSION

I am writing to formally escalate my concerns regarding an open, unresolved safety recall on my vehicle. I have repeatedly reached out to the manufacturer to get this issue fixed, but I continue to receive nothing but the runaround. According to official safety notices and documentation, this recall involves a critical, high-risk defect. Because this issue is so serious, I am now driving in constant fear, and I completely refuse to take my car on any long-distance trips due to legitimate safety concerns. It is entirely unacceptable that a known, hazardous defect is being left unaddressed. I need an immediate, definitive answer on the exact steps required to get this resolved. Furthermore, because the vehicle is currently unsafe for extended travel, I need to know what immediate accommodations—such as a complimentary loaner vehicle or rental—will be provided while you arrange for a priority repair. I expect a prompt response with a concrete solution.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Rear surround camera has blurry and hazy image upon activation of reverse gear. There is noticeable water ingress in camera lens. Vehicle had issue addressed in 2022 by replacement with part LR060915. Blurry/hazy issue was observed intermittently and now camera is inoperable with visible water in camera housing. I believe this is an extension of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) reference number: 24V-023. Manufacturer does not want to assist with the recall on MY18-22 as my VIN is not included even though the issue is one and the same.

POWER TRAIN,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Shortly after purchase of the vehicle on November 26, 2021, the vehicle began experiencing repeated DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid), SCR, and DPF system failures, accompanied by dashboard warning indicators, drivability instability, reduced power warnings, and eventual shutdown conditions. The most serious safety concern is that when the DEF/emissions warning activates, the vehicle may enter reduced-power mode and ultimately become non-operable, creating a significant roadway safety hazard. The vehicle has repeatedly experienced conditions where it could lose power, become unreliable in traffic, or shut down unexpectedly after emissions-related warnings appeared. The vehicle required repeated repair attempts beginning almost immediately after delivery, including diagnostics and repairs involving: DEF system malfunction SCR/DPF restriction codes Reduced power warnings Fuel pressure-related faults Emissions-system failures Drivability instability Suspension-related concerns Despite multiple repair attempts by authorized facilities and warranty-related interventions, the same categories of failures continued to recur. This condition creates a serious safety concern because the vehicle can become unreliable or effectively inoperable while being driven, particularly after activation of emissions-related warning systems. The repeated loss-of-power and shutdown-related behavior creates risk during normal roadway operation. I am requesting review of the recurring emissions-system failure pattern, drivability instability, and operational shutdown behavior associated with this vehicle.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

The fuel tank support sheet metal has corroded away such that the fuel tank is not supported on the passenger side and may fall from the vehicle. This could cause sudden failure of the vehicle to be operated and possible fire from leaking fuel if the tank falls out.

STEERING,ENGINE

The contact owns a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The contact stated that there was a slight shaking coming from the steering while driving at various speeds. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact was concerned about driving the vehicle. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V514000 (Steering). The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted on three occasions, but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 58,000.

LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES

The contact owns a 2016 Land Rover Range Rover Sport. The contact stated that while driving approximately 50 MPH, the rear passenger’s side door opened unexpectedly. The contact immediately pulled over to manually close the door. The contact stated that the soft-touch door system failed, causing the contact to secure the doors with a tie. The dealer was contacted and confirmed that the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer was informed of the issue and confirmed that there was a recall for the issue, but the recall had expired. The manufacturer referred the contact to the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 103,000.

SUSPENSION

Filing a complaint about lack of remedy for NHTSA Recall Number 25V-514, manufacture recall number D019. I planned to put this car on Turo to rent, and I cannot list it if it has an active recall. It’s a financial strain for me, and I would greatly appreciate a fix.

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Fuel tank cradle/support is rusted and might cause fuel tank to fall.
