turbo's have to be replaced because of a wastegate failure. This is a well known issue. My vehicle is at 66700 miles and Toyota has denied a good will claim. Though they admit there is nothing I could have done differently because its a defective part. My safety is put at risk because the truck goes into limp mode and a "reduced power" message is displayed. The dealership has confirmed the issue but because its 7k outside of warranty they are unwilling to do anything even though its a defect. Vehicle has only been inspected by dealership. they also have a diagnostic test for the total engine recall and its very subjective. I don't believe they are keeping safety in mind. I think they are trying to deny as many of those claims as possible.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER

The component that is failed/malfunctioning is the mode function of the HVAC blower system. After thorough online research this appears to be related to either the gear door actuator or the blend door being stuck or broken (gears, etc.). This prevents air from blowing out of any vents other than the defrost and feet modes. While it appears to be a common issue online the two Toyota dealerships will not provide any helpful information unless I agree to a minimum 250 diagnostic fee. I've replaced all the gear door actuators thus I believe it has to do with the blend door. The dealerships default response is "that's just how they are". There were no warnings, messages, etc. prior to failure. Failure was noticed upon start and longer than usual startup of the HVAC system, it now takes 30-60 seconds to attempt to calibrate before any air starts moving. And as stated earlier it just blows out of the defrost and foot functions, nothing out of the face vents.

POWER TRAIN,UNKNOWN OR OTHER

My radiator leaked engine coolant fluid while driving. The fan shroud warped from heat and rubbed against the radiator and punctured a hole in the radiator causing a slow leak. My vehicle became inoperable and had to pull over. It's been confirmed by the dealership and has a report No warnings prior to failure, though the leak look to have been a slow leak that was in the engine bay and on driveway just faintly so it had been an issue that had been progressing over time. The warnings first appeared for high temp when the coolant was totally out and mentioned the vehicle was overheating and to pull over.

POWER TRAIN

On XXX my 2023 Toyota Tundra Limited’s check engine light came on and after consulting with my service center, Jones Toyota in Bel Air, MD, via phone I brought the truck into Jones to be assessed. Jones diagnosed the problem and determined a physical failure of the passenger-side turbocharger. The vehicle is currently disabled and located at Jones Toyota in Bel Air, MD, undergoing service for the turbo failure. My vehicle is also subject to active safety Recall Campaign 25TA14 for manufacturing debris in the V35A engine block, but the dealership and manufacturer are treating the turbo failure as a separate repair item and have not linked it to the recall in writing. Operating a twin-turbo V6 platform experiencing sudden propulsion and turbo loss—while an open, un-remedied main bearing engine recall remains pending on the same vehicle—presents a severe underlying safety and mechanical failure pattern putting anyone in the vehicle or on the road with the vehicle when its being operated at risk

I was leaving work one day and pulled out in traffic and my engine stalled causing the car behind me to slam on their brakes to avoid crashing into me from the back my engine completely stalled and I got no gas to accelerate I then went to the dealership and stated what happened and they told me they could not help me at the moment so I wrote a letter to corporate Toyota and they put me in the loaner in the following week. I’ve been in the loaner for the past four months with no remedy on my truck and no answer to when it’s gonna be fixed or this problem is gonna be resolved.

The contact owns a 2023 Toyota Tundra. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the check engine, Auto Start/Stop, and another unknown warning light illuminated. The message "Grill Shutter Malfunction Low Voltage" was displayed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the battery sensor, alternator, and ECU had short-circuited. The dealer replaced the battery sensor, alternator, and ECU; however, the failure persisted with the check engine and another unknown warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, who determined that the grill shutter needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 57,000.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING,ENGINE

2023 Toyota Tundra CrewMax SR5 4x4, VIN [XXX], approximately 79000 miles. This vehicle has two open safety recalls. Both show "Recall Incomplete, remedy not yet available" on NHTSA's VIN lookup as of XXX NHTSA 25V322 (Toyota 25TB06) was filed XXX for moisture intrusion causing both reverse lamps to fail. Toyota's remedy notice estimated that the remedy would begin to be available in the fourth quarter of 2025. That estimate is now approximately nine months past and no remedy is available for this VIN. NHTSA 25V767 (Toyota 25TB14) was filed XXX for machining debris causing number one main bearing failure, with symptoms including engine knocking, rough running, no-start, and loss of motive power. Interim notices were mailed XXX. The remedy has been postponed and remains unreleased for this VIN, with rollout phased by vehicle age. I am filing because the manufacturer has been unable to provide a remedy for either recall within a reasonable time. I have owned this vehicle since XXX and have been unable to obtain repair for a known safety defect for more than fifteen months on the first campaign. My 2023 Toyota Tundra iForceMAX truck has been out of commission for 56 days (Since June 29, 2026). I have experienced a "shroud rub" issue which is a widely documented design flaw in 2022–2025 Tundras. It happens when pressure from the transmission lines warps the passenger-side plastic fan shroud, pushing it straight into the radiator fins until it rubs a hole right through them. The dealer (Fred Haas Toyota World, Spring TX) has stated that they are still waiting for a new fan shroud to arrive and have NO firm date when it will arrive. This is a safety issue as the vehicle sends a clear warning on the dashboard gauge cluster of the dangerous condition to over heating and advises the driver to immediately pull over, switch offthe engine and let it cool down or risk catastrophic failure.

SERVICE BRAKES,ENGINE,FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

Ive been waiting for years for the previous recalls I have been informed about to get fixed. Feul system,brake lights.Was told by Toyota that someone would call me to come to get them taken care of. In the meantime, constantly checking that my brake lights are working before departing on any excursions in truck & patiently waiting for toyota to reach out when they were gonna fix the first 2 recalls that I was notified about. I can't recall the date exactly, but I was driving on the highway w/ my still backward carseat, facing 2y.o. baby safely strapped in,ThankGod.As accelerating into my lane, heard huge BOOM like an IED. Immediately, the check engine light among others came on.Truck immediately lost power & was violently shaking.Felt it in the steering wheel, but largely in engine compartment.@this time,I tried to get over to shoulder to a safe place.I turned the car off.Let it rest checked on my infant in back made sure he was ok. After letting car rest, turn back on to my surprise All lights were off.I was w/in few miles of home so went directly back, never getting to my intended destination. Shortly before driveway, all lights came back on & multiple service messages.Since then the truck has not been driveable,As we have specifically looked up recalls,thusly Nov.recall matched lights on the dash for the specific make,year, model of truck. From my understanding, it says that there is no remedy for such recall. But that is untrue. The remedy is an entirely new engine. They just haven't rolled out the recall info to everyone applicable. I am unable to work. My home is without a vehicle and this is unacceptable.Along w/ safety risk to me and infant. I'm sure Toyota doesn't want to admit or remedy Because that is very costly. But this was a mistake made by the company. And it should be remedied, because our family is suffering in various ways. Lost revenue. Inability to respond if emergency etc.I need a new engine.& in the interim,I need a car supplied while fixed.
